What makes Leiners Boutique Hotel special for families?
Leiners is a charming boutique hotel in Bavaria with space for 29 families. Personal care, warm hospitality, and a family vacation experience where each family is individually cared for are especially important.
Who is a vacation at Leiners especially suitable for?
Leiners is especially suitable for families with babies, toddlers, and children up to about 10 years old who are looking for a personal, relaxed family vacation with care, play opportunities, indoor pool, wellness, and many experiences in nature.
How many families can Leiners accommodate?
The boutique hotel offers space for 29 families.
Can I arrive earlier or leave later?
Your room is ready for occupancy by 2:00 PM at the latest. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier at any time and spend time with us in the fireplace room, childcare, swimming pool, or garden. Our lunch starts at 12:00 PM and is included either on the day of arrival or departure.
Our check-out time is at 11:00 AM, by which time you must leave the room. However, you are very welcome to stay with us in the hotel. You can also have lunch with us on the day of departure; if you already ate on the day of arrival, a small surcharge applies.
Is there a late check-out for an additional charge?
A late check-out is possible in individual cases if the apartment is still free the following night. We handle this very generously spontaneously; in advance, it is rather difficult because we do not have many rooms and would have to block the room for the night for a late check-out.
Is arrival by public transport possible?
Yes, it is possible. By train via Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and from there by taxi (about 5 minutes) or with the free city bus (activate a digital guest card from us in advance) to us; the bus stops 100 meters from us. The nearest airports are Munich and Innsbruck.
Is there a shuttle service from the train station or airport?
No, but we can provide contacts for taxis for airport pickup; taxis are available right outside the station in Garmisch. From the Munich and Innsbruck airports, trains or Flixbus also run.
Are there e-charging stations?
No, not directly with us but about 100 meters away at another hotel or at the Shell gas station about 1 km away.
What types of rooms are there and how big are they?
We only have 2-room family apartments – from the smallest single apartment with approx. 25 m² to apartments with approx. 40 m². For grandmas and grandpas or uncles and aunts, we also have two real double rooms.
Is there a minibar?
No, because our non-alcoholic beverage station is accessible 24 hours and there is also an honesty bar with alcoholic drinks available from 9 p.m.
Is there a coffee machine and a tea kettle in the room?
A kettle is in the room. A coffee machine is available at the bar – also at night.
What baby and child equipment is available in the room?
In the room, we have top baby equipment: baby crib or cot, fold-out changing table, diaper bin, bottle warmer, kettle, baby monitor, and care set as basic equipment. On request, we also provide baby bathtub, night light, vaporizer, baby toys, baby crawling blanket, fall protection on the parents' bed, and nursing pillow.
Are there baby monitors in the hotel?
Yes, the baby monitor works via our house phone in connection with your mobile phone.
Can we book a family room with separate sleeping areas?
Yes, we only have family apartments with separate sleeping areas.
Are there rooms with a kitchen or kitchenette?
No.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
No.
Are there allergy-friendly rooms or rooms without carpet?
All rooms have wooden floors. If there are small rugs for decoration, we can gladly remove them.
What bedding and blankets are there?
Our bedding is made of cotton. We only have allergy-friendly beds and pillows without down – everything is made of polyester.
Are the rooms completely darkenable?
We have blackout curtains everywhere. In the apartments with panoramic windows, there is additionally an electric sunshade, in the other apartments additionally shutters. But it is not always 100% dark.
Is it allowed to store strollers in the hotel?
Yes, of course.
Is Leiners suitable for babies?
Yes, Leiners is very well prepared for families with babies. There is a dedicated baby world, baby care, and extensive baby equipment.
Is the hotel also suitable for toddlers?
Yes, for toddlers from 1 to 3 years old there is age-appropriate care, suitable play areas, and loving support from the care team.
What equipment for children is available on site?
As a baby specialist, it is especially important to us to provide you with as much as possible. Baby equipment includes a baby crib or cot, fold-out changing table, diaper bin, bottle warmer, kettle, baby monitor, and care set as basic equipment. On request, we also provide baby bathtub, night light, vaporizer, baby toys, baby crawling blanket, fall protection on the parents' bed, and nursing pillow. For loan, there are strollers or buggies from MyJunior, baby carriers or hip carriers from Qookie, as well as bibs from LittleCasimir in the restaurant. Additionally, there is an all-day available baby buffet with a rich selection of purees, fruit and vegetable jars from the 5th to the 8th month, as well as dm organic milk of stages “Pre, 2 and 3.”
Is there childcare at Leiners?
Yes, at Leiners there is loving, age-appropriate childcare for babies, toddlers, and children. The care takes place indoors and outdoors – depending on the weather, season, and weekly programme.
From what age is childcare available?
The care is age-appropriately divided: for babies from 0 to 1 year, toddlers from 1 to 3 years, and kids from 3 to 10 years. Older children can of course also be in the care, participate in desired programme points without registration, and, if the parents wish, also go independently in and out of the care.
Can younger siblings under 3 years stay with their older siblings in childcare beyond the baby care times?
This must be arranged individually with our childcare providers. It depends on how well the little ones find their way in the care and how many children are registered otherwise. If it is somehow possible, we are happy to accommodate your wishes.
How many hours of childcare are there per week?
We offer 84 hours of childcare per week.
When does the childcare take place?
Childcare takes place daily. For children from 3 years, care is available from 08:00 to 20:00. For toddlers from 1 to 2 years, care is available 7 days a week from 08:00 to 18:00 and 5 days a week additionally from 18:45 to 20:00. Babies under one year are cared for daily from 08:00 to 14:00 and 5 days a week additionally from 18:45 to 20:00.
Can our children stay in care until noon on the day of departure?
Children can stay in care all day on the day of departure.
Is there also baby care?
Yes, at Leiners there is a dedicated baby world and baby care for babies up to 1 year. In addition, the hotel is very well equipped as a baby and child specialist.
Is there supervised eating for children?
Yes, during the care time there is supervised lunch for all children and dinner for children from 3 years.
Can parents be present during childcare?
Yes, twice daily there is family time from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 16:30 to 17:45. During this time, parents can come into care together with their children.
What do the children do in care?
The children do crafts, play, are creative, and experience a varied weekly programme. Thanks to the location, a lot is also done outdoors – in every season and in any weather.
Can siblings be cared for together?
Yes, we are not so large that we completely separate the children. Everything is spatially together, we only offer different programme points for the different age groups.
What happens if my child does not want to stay alone?
Then you can participate in a kind of familiarization during family times. If your child cries because they do not want to stay alone, we will of course call you and inform you.
What play opportunities are there outside?
Outside, children can enjoy a playground and garden with a climbing castle, giant trampoline, table tennis, soccer field, slackline, and other play options.
What outdoor games are available at Leiners?
Outdoor games include disc golf, ladder golf, archery, and a soccer dartboard, among others.
What can children do in bad weather?
Even in bad weather, boredom does not arise. There is, among other things, a colorful playroom, family areas, and rain pants for outdoor adventures.
Is there an indoor play area in the hotel?
Yes, at Leiners there is a playroom and care areas with play options, table tennis, air hockey, foosball, and darts over more than 220 m².
Are there swimming courses for children at Leiners?
Yes, at Leiners children can learn to swim playfully in the hotel pool – from the first swimming strokes to the final exam for the early swimmer "Seepferdchen" with certificate and badge.
From what age are swimming courses available?
Swimming courses are offered for children from 4 years old. Babies and toddlers can also participate in baby swimming from 3 months – here together with the parents.
How often do the swimming courses take place?
The swimming courses take place 5 times a week. Each session lasts 45 minutes.
What does a swimming course cost?

What is included in the all-inclusive offer?
The all-inclusive offer includes an extensive breakfast buffet with coffee specialties, lunch or packed lunch for adults and children, afternoon cake buffet and small snacks, evening a 5-course menu with salad buffet as well as non-alcoholic branded drinks available all day at the drink station in the restaurant. For children, there is also an evening children's buffet to choose from.
Are drinks included?
Yes, non-alcoholic drinks for children and adults are available 24 hours a day at the drink station.
Can we as a family have lunch on arrival or departure day?
Yes, of course. Once it is included. If you have lunch with us on both days, a small surcharge applies.
Is there a children's buffet?
Yes, there is a children's buffet in the evening. Additionally, supervised lunch and dinner are offered as part of the childcare.
Are there any special culinary highlights?
Yes, every Saturday there is a Bavarian buffet. In summer, there are also barbecue evenings in the beer garden depending on the weather.
Where do you eat at Leiners?
At Leiners there are three dining rooms as well as a modern, cozy house bar.
Are there high chairs and bibs?
Yes, you will find high chairs from Stokke and bibs from LittleCasimir directly in the restaurant area.
Are there options for allergy sufferers and intolerances, for example gluten-free or lactose-free?
We are happy to take care of lactose-free or gluten-free foods, for example. Please let us know in good time before arrival what needs to be considered in the diet of you or your children. Please also inform the childcare staff about allergies. For legal reasons, we must point out that traces can always be present as we do not have a separate kitchen. In addition, our suppliers generally reserve the right for traces to be present. Also, the menu selection may sometimes be somewhat limited.
Can vegetarian or vegan dishes be offered?
Yes, that is possible. We always have a vegetarian alternative on the menu anyway.
Are there packed lunches for excursions?
Yes, as part of the all-inclusive offer, there is either a lunch buffet at midday or you can prepare a packed lunch yourself at the breakfast buffet with drinking bottles and snack boxes provided by us – because you know best what you and your children like to eat.
Is there an indoor pool at Leiners?
Yes, Leiners has a newly renovated indoor pool with two swimming pools.
Is there wellness at the hotel?
Yes, the wellness area includes a Finnish sauna and relaxation areas.
Is there a sauna for families with children?
Yes, there is a bio sauna that is also suitable for children.
Are massages offered at Leiners?
Yes, massages and special treatments are offered for a fee.
Is there an adults-only area?
Yes, there is an adults-only sauna and a relaxation area for adults.
Is yoga offered at Leiners?
Yes, yoga classes for guests are offered year-round during opening hours.
When does children's yoga take place?
Children's yoga takes place on Fridays from 9:15 to 10:00 AM.

In summer, there are many experiences around the hotel: the Zugspitze adventure world, the Partnach Gorge, the Eckbauer with adventure playground, the Kainzenbad natural outdoor pool, numerous excursions as well as opportunities for hiking, cycling, and swimming.
Is Leiners suitable for an active family vacation?
Yes, there are many opportunities for active families around the hotel – from hiking and cycling to excursions and swimming experiences.
Is there a guest card or benefits for mountain railways and admissions?
Yes, there is a guest card with benefits, such as free rides on the city bus, a free ride on the Eckbauer, and various discounts.
Where can you rent bicycles?
About 10 minutes from the hotel there is a bike shop in Partenkirchen. We also have balance bikes from Whizzy as well as 16-inch and 20-inch bicycles from Whizzy on site.
What can you experience in winter around the Leiners?
In winter, families can look forward to ski holidays, ski courses, ski rentals, sledding, cross-country skiing, and many other winter experiences in the area.
Is the Leiners suitable for winter holidays with children?
Yes, the Leiners is very well suited for a winter holiday with children. Besides skiing, sledding, and cross-country skiing, there are also many opportunities to play, swim, and relax in the hotel.
How far is the ski area?
The Classic ski area can be reached by car in 10 minutes.
Is there a free ski bus?
Yes, you can take the free city bus to the ski area, but you have to change once.
Are there ski courses for children?
Yes, ski courses take place in the Classic area. Ski schools are located directly on site. We mainly work with the GaPa ski school, the Krinninger ski school, and the Sprenzel ski school. The children's ski courses usually last until 1:00 pm. Full-day courses are very rare.
From what age are there ski courses?
From 4 years old.
Is there a ski rental in the hotel or nearby?
The ski schools with ski rental are located around the valley stations of the Classic area or on the Zugspitze.
Is there a ski depot or drying room?
We have a ski cellar where you can store your skis and ski boots.
What is included in the holiday at the Leiners?
Included services are our all-inclusive non-alcoholic catering, childcare, indoor pool, wellness areas, outdoor play facilities, yoga for guests, and many family offers in and around the hotel.
Are there minimum stays, for example during holiday periods?
Over New Year's Eve, we have a minimum stay of 7 nights. Otherwise, during holidays, the maximum stay can be 5 nights, but usually rather three. Outside of holidays, we have a minimum stay of 2 nights. On request, one night is also possible.
Are there discounts for children and up to what age?
Yes, we offer free-for-children offers during several periods. These are valid from a certain number of nights with two adults and apply to children up to 15 years old.
What are the cancellation conditions?
Is a deposit required?
Yes, 20% upon booking. The rest is paid upon departure.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, bank transfer, EC card, and all common credit cards.
Do you recommend travel cancellation insurance?
Yes, definitely. So that in case of cancellation or interruption of your vacation due to illness, accident, or unemployment – also within the family – you are compensated for possible financial losses, we recommend the products of our partner ERGO Travel Insurance.

What happens in case of late arrival or early departure?
Then our stated cancellation conditions apply. We confirm the late arrival or early departure on the invoice and specify the amount of the cancellation fees so that you can submit the invoice to the travel cancellation insurance.
Is there a washing machine or dryer or a guest laundry or ironing service?
Our washing machine and dryer are located in the ski cellar. Detergent is provided; a small fee applies.
Is there a pharmacy or doctor nearby?
Yes, the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Clinic with an excellent pediatric department is 200 meters away. We also work with a pediatrician from Garmisch.
The nearest pharmacy is 5 minutes away by car.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away by car.
Is there Wi-Fi – also in the rooms?
Yes.
Is there room service?
Yes, the rooms are cleaned daily.
Are dogs also welcome?
You are welcome to bring your four-legged friend. We will gladly inform you of the costs per day without food upon request.
Is the hotel stroller-friendly, for example with an elevator or ramps?
Yes, the hotel can be reached by an external elevator. Inside we also have an elevator and everything is accessible. Only our fireplace room is reached by two steps. To get to the playground, you can walk along the outside of the hotel property with the stroller.
Is the hotel barrier-free or wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, we are not fully wheelchair accessible, as our bathroom doors are at most 68 cm wide.
Are there quiet times or night quiet hours?
There are no prescribed quiet times, but it is absolutely quiet by 10:00 p.m. at the latest.
Are there smoking areas?
Smoking is only allowed outside the hotel, of course also in the garden or on the terrace, as long as no one is immediately disturbed nearby.
Is there a minimum safety standard, for example socket protection or stair gates?
All our sockets have integrated child safety locks and where necessary we have door gates. Additionally, we provide climbing protection for the ladders on the bunk beds upon request.
